CEAT Awards: Virat Kohli bags International batsman and cricketer of the year
Mumbai, May 14 (RNI): India captain Virat Kohli bagged the International Cricketer and Batsman of the Year award during the CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) International awards 2019.

The ceremony held in Mumbai yesterday in presence of a galaxy of past and present cricketers.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who made a mark for India and IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, was adjudged as International Bowler of the Year. Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan was awarded for outstanding bowling and Australian batsman Aaron Finch for his exceptional performance in T20.

Young prodigy Yashasvi Jaiswal, who performed exceptionally over the year was awarded Junior Cricketer of the Year, while chinaman Kuldeep Yadav took the home outstanding performance of the year award.

Ashutosh Aman was awarded Domestic Cricketer of the Year.

Legendary Mohinder Amarnath, who played a key role in India's 1983 World Cup triumph, was bestowed with the 'CCR International Lifetime Achievement Award'.

Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar, former Australian batsman Dean Jones, former India stumper Saba Karim were present on the occasion among others.

मुजफ्फरपुर, 10 जून (आरएनआई) | भारत के 2007 टी-20 वर्ल्ड कप और 2011 क्रिकेट वर्ल्ड कप में जीत के हीरो रहे युवराज सिंह सोमवार को इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट से संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी है. बताया जा रहा है कि युवराज सिंह मुंबई के साउथ होटल में प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट से संन्यास लेने की घोषणा की. युवराज सिंह ने कहा कि मैंने कभी किसी चुनौती के आगे हार नहीं मानी चाहे वो क्रिकेट का मैच रहा हो या फिर कैंसर जैसी बीमारी. उन्होंने कहा कि वह काफी समय से रिटायरमेंट के बारे में सोच रहे थे और अब उनका प्लान आईसीसी द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त टी-20 टूर्नामेंट्स में खेलने का है. युवराज ने साउथ मुंबई होटल में आयोजित प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में यह ऐलान किया. जिसको सुन सामने बैठी उनकी मां के आंसू निकल आए. ऐसी जानकारी भी प्राप्त हुई है कि युवराज सिंह अपनी मां के काफी क्लोज हैं. संन्यास का ऐलान करने वक्त भी युवराज ने कहा कि मेरी मां हमेशा मेरी ताकत रही है. युवराज सिंह पिछले काफी लंबे समय से भारतीय टीम की ओर से नहीं खेले हैं. मालूम हो कि युवराज सिंह ने भारतीय टीम की ओर से 40 टेस्ट खेले हैं जिसमें उन्होंने 33.92 की औसत से 1900 रन बनाए हैं. जिसमें 3 शतक और 11 अर्धशतक शामिल हैं. सूत्रों के मुताबिक युवराज अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट से संन्यास के बाद आईसीसी से मान्यता प्राप्त विदेशी टी-20 लीग में खेलना चाहते हैं. युवी विदेशी टी-20 लीग में फ्रीलांस क्रिकेटर के तौर पर खेल सकते हैं.
